So sad to be writing this…, sending my deepest condolences to Sheila, Lucy, Graham and all the family 💕 _________________________________________________________________________________________________ We first met at Eddies and thought school was champion, Dressed in our blazers, ties back, red and gold, Curly perms, hair mousse, and Elnett firm hold, We thought we were great and knew everything, Not knowing, back then, what our futures would bring, Five years of schooling to help with our career, With Sinclair, Miss Spoors, and Mr Echevarria, Sleepovers, parties, and the Leam Scholars bus, Sheila and Mel never once made a fuss, Liz on the other hand, like a witch with a broom, Waking us all up, shouting ‘hoover the bathroom!’, As we grew older, and fond of a treat, We enjoyed girly holidays to Rhodes, Kos and Crete, Excited to pack, and get on the plane, For two weeks of sunshine, singing Mr Vain, As the years passed, so did the trends, We stayed in touch, and remained best of friends, Through the birth of our children, family gatherings and events, To seeing you enjoy your favourite time – advent! Your family parties were always the best, Party games, quizzes, drinks, and the rest, I always felt welcome, at your house, anytime, For a natter, a coffee, or glass of wine, We drifted apart, and that makes me sad, Thinking about the time we never had, Whenever I see a star shining bright, I’ll know that it’s you - a beacon of light, So, sleep tight beautiful Claire Bear, I can no longer see you, but I know you are there…
